Mindfulness based stress reduction programme (MBSR)

This gentle 8 week course invites you to explore and practice Mindfulness-based approaches that can help with life’s challenges in pragmatic, practical ways.
Each session is taught in a group and lasts approximately 2 hours.
The course is taught through a variety of meditation practices which focus on bringing attention to the breath and the body during stillness and movement.
It is a tried and tested non-secular method, that can bring people greater emotional resilience to stress and improve well-being, by simply learning to notice the relationship between own minds and thoughts and their relationship to our body sensations, emotions and actions.
Mindfulness allows us to access our existing inner understanding and is often defined as ‘paying attention on purpose moment by moment without judging’, (Full Catastrophe Living, – Jon Kabat-Zinn).
