Mindfulness is known to improve the quality of people’s lives by inviting them to live more fully in the present, rather than getting caught up in thought habits of reliving the past or pre-living the future. It helps us recognise patterns around our thinking which are having a negative impact on our life experiences and, how we manage stress. Winter Mindfulness Retreat – 14th to 16th December 2018
This is the gold standard 8 week mindfulness based stress reduction course (MBSR). It is a well-researched approach which invites people to cope better with everyday stress through developing mindfulness skills. The course combines experiential learning of mindfulness practices with reflection on the effects of bringing attention to the breath and the body during stillness and movement. Mindful Practice Group – Saturday mornings from Oct 2018
This is a gentle introduction to a secular retreat experience. This residential retreat is at Adcote School, set within the beautiful Shropshire countryside and a short distance from Shrewsbury; all retreatees will be accommodated in single en- suite bedrooms with all refreshments and meals provided (special diets catered for). This retreat offers an opportunity to retreat from the busyness of the world for a short time and connect with others whilst, taking part in a variety of mindfulness practices. Mindfulness Supervision and Training to be a Mindfulness Teacher
This group is for adults who have completed an extended mindfulness course. It is a chance to continue to develop your mindfulness practice with regular guidance. The .b Foundations is an 8-week mindfulness course aimed at developing mindfulness for school staff. School staff are often frantically busy and may find it even more difficult to dedicate time to activities aimed at their own well-being than other 8 week course participants.
